Is end of lease pest control mandatory in Victoria?
Not always, but most rental agreements require one, especially for tenants with pets. It’s also a great way to protect your bond and ensure no disputes at inspection. It's essential you read your tenancy agreement or check in with your agent or landlord for End of Lease pest control compliance, as tenancy agreements differ!
What pests are covered in an end of lease treatment?
Commonly fleas, ants, and spiders.
When should I book pest control before moving out?
After your final clean and carpet shampoo, ideally within 24–48 hours of your final inspection.
Do I get a certificate for my landlord or rental agent?
Yes, you’ll receive a receipt detailing the treatment upon completion, confirming the work meets your rental requirements.

We have thousands of millipedes in our new industrial building, can you help?

Yes, this is quite common in many new builds. We can treat all premises for millipedes, although it may take a few treatments to eliminate them completely.

Does Button Pest Control treat termites?

No, we do not. There are many pest controllers offering this service for you, and we're happy to recommend a trusted colleague to you if required.

Do you kill bees?

We only treat bees in an absolute emergency. We want to save bees as much as you. Wherever possible, Button Pest Control will always try to relocate a hive using a local beekeeper. However, this may not be possible (if the nest is located in the playground of a childcare or aged care centre, for example) and if humans are in danger, and with no other option, we will treat the hive accordingly.

Will a spray for crawling pests around my property wreck my house paintwork?

No, our treatments will most definitely NOT damage your paint!

Should I clean all the spider webs away before you treat my house?

No, webs point the way to the location of the spider you'd like removed, and if the spider is hiding, without the residual spray on its web, it may dodge the treatment completely.

Does Button Pest Control offer a spider web cleaning service after a spider spray?

Yes, this is a service we do offer, usually a week after treatment, for an additional charge.

Does Button Pest Control offer eco-friendly pest control options?

Yes, we do. Please have a chat with us regarding our eco-friendly options.

Why is pest control cheaper if I agree to scheduled servicing?

With scheduled servicing, we get to know your premises and where the 'hot spots' are, and a service every 3-6 months means less unwelcome pests each time we service, meaning less chemical cost to you. This is a tried-and-tested solution for commercial premises to keep on top of pest invaders. Plus, you get to save a significant amount whilst keeping pesky pests out of your business.
